About Mark
A Neighbor Who Shows Up
His Story
Why Mark Is Running
Mark Baker did not set out to run for office. He set out to raise his family, build a business, and be a good neighbor in the community he loves. But after years of watching Tallahassee pass laws that ignored the real concerns of District 23 families, seniors, Veterans and people struggling with rising costs, underfunded schools, and a healthcare system that leaves too many people behind — he decided it was time to do something about it.
Mark has lived in Crystal River for over 2 decades. He moved here, started his business here, and got involved. He is not a career politician looking for a stepping stone. He is a neighbor who got tired of waiting for someone else to fix things.
As a small business owner, Mark knows what it means to make payroll, navigate regulations, and compete in a tough economy. As a project manager for projects all over the country, he has seen firsthand how local decisions shape the quality of life for every family. Because of his significant educational experience, he understands that the decisions made in Tallahassee today will shape the Florida that your children will inherit tomorrow.
Mark Baker is running because District 23 deserves a representative who lives here, listens here, and fights for the people here — not for party bosses or special interests.

Values
Service Before Self
Mark believes that public service is exactly that — service. Not a platform, not a career, not a title. It is showing up for your neighbors when they need you, telling the truth even when it is inconvenient, and putting the community ahead of politics.
That is the standard he holds himself to every day. And it is the standard he will bring to Tallahassee.
"I'm not running to be a politician. I'm running to be your neighbor in Tallahassee."— Mark Baker
